What is a geotechnical study?<\/h3>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe geotechnical study, or as it is also known, soil investigation, is the procedure by which you can find out the soil’s physical properties. It is usually used on construction sites to determine if the soil is safe for the construction that will be done. Without soil analysis, construction projects cannot be carried out.<\/p>\r\n

The previously mentioned <\/span><\/span>type of study carried out for a house involves a 6m deep borehole. This will be done with the help of a field team that will take the disturbed and undisturbed samples from the borehole. Every laboratory tests the collected samples, preparation of the study and its verification at the Af requirement.<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n

What is the importance of uni geotechnical study?<\/h3>\r\n

\r\n\r\nEven if it is not regarded with much importance, the geotechnical survey should be seen as a vital stage in the construction process. It is incorrect to think you will not need to do this study if the other neighbours have done it.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nWhat can affect the foundation’s stability, implicitly the building’s safety, is given by factors such as weather conditions, land management, climate change and most significantly, the location.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nWhen the soil is not suitable for a type of construction, the building may collapse, putting other people’s homes and lives at risk.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nDepending on the results of the geotechnical study, the architects can determine the depth and type of the foundation. They will also decide which elements are suitable for the construction, they will prevent the problems that may arise, and they will be able to offer solutions.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe geotechnical study aims to give you security in the construction you want to do and also in your investments. I don’t think people are willing to start spending money on a construction project, only to find out later that the land is not suitable.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nHaving high importance, the geotechnical study is mandatory by law. Regardless of the initial price you pay, the amount given will be the investment that will save you from losing a large amount of money.<\/p>\r\n

An aforementioned geotechnical study should be seen as an essential part of the construction process. A preliminary stage in which you would increase the safety of the investment.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
